JCAHO INFORMATION

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations does not issue endorsements.  The U.S. Living Will Registry's attorney posed a question to the JCAHO regarding the use of a centralized, electronic storage and retrieval system for advance directives, such as the U.S. Living Will Registry, as part of a health care provider's overall advance directive program.   This JCAHO letter was received in response to that question.
